Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I am sure you have so much to think about and your wedding cake is just part of it, so let me try to make things a little easier for you. The best place to start when designing your wedding cake is with the number of guests you will have at your special day, from there we can help you choose the number of tiers and shape of your wedding cake (see the portion guide below as a guideline). It also helps if you can bring along an invitation and colour swatches to your consultation.
You will also need to think about what flavours you want, fruit cake is the very traditional wedding cake but sponge cake is a more cost effective option. You can always have a mix of both. Sponge cake can be chocolate, chocolate orange, lemon, vanilla, carrot, coffee, coffee cake with cappuccino flavoured ganache or red velvet so you can have a little something in your wedding cake to suit all tastes. You can choose from white or ivory icing or if you want something bright and colourful I can do that too. I can also match your colour scheme as closely as possible. For the true chocoholic you can have chocolate sponge filled with a delicious Belgian chocolate ganache with Belgian chocolate paste covering or chocolate curls.
I specialise in cake jewellery and this is an easy way to add a WOW and a bit of sparkle to your wedding cake, I can make beaded garlands, fountains, crowns and flowers. These can be made to match your colour scheme.
Not sure what to have for your favours, Cake Pops make the perfect favour. They can be individually wrapped and presented in an arrangement to be placed on each table. We can also match your colour scheme. I offer a 5% off your Cake Pop favours when you also book your wedding cake. Have a look at our Cake Pop page for more ideas.
